Reds get a much needed win today on Getaway day. They have fallen short as of late and need the momentum as they enter what could very well be the most important road trip that they've played all year.
Camp is fast approaching and this year I will be bringing the message on Tuesday night. Hopefully I will be able to get everything prepared early on, because all of this is happening in the midst of S&R week as well as picking up some extra hours at work. There will be very little time to play around this week but I'm definitely looking forward to camp and the vacation time coming up. It's just another thing that makes summer awesome. Nevertheless, I may be in a little over my head this week with everything that has to be done.
On the other side of camp I hope to get back to playing some golf and being able to relax a bit more once the house is cleaned and in order. I have not been out in a while because of other things going on and the need to save money. Hopefully Ivis will find out some good news about teaching on the other side of camp. Camp has always been a tremendous turning point in the summer. I mean, I understand it's all about the kids and helping them becoming closer to God, but it's interesting how the camp staff are always as moved by camp week as the campers are. It's amazing how being a mentor can get you spiritually pumped up. Not to mention hanging out with the all-star staff that goes every year to help put this awesome week on.
But I have to somehow survive this coming week. All I can say is catch me if you can, because I probably won't be sitting down for a minute this entire week!
Have a good week!
